Daily Song

I'm undecided as to if I really like this guys music or is it that hes just really hot? Im pretty sure its an equal measure of both. Here is a picture of Josh Beech and his song Burnt Out which i actually bought on itunes wanted it that much! Think I may have a new obsession :)

I found this quote the other day and just cant love it enough. I first discovered Salvador Dali about 3 years ago in Brussels. Martin (aka Dad) and me were on one of our summer trips and that year Brussles was our choice well actually it wasnt I specifically remember telling him id go anywhere but Brussels. Little did I know he'd already booked the tickets. It ended up being a really good weekend and I also discovered a love for cherry beer while there. There was an exhibition of his work on show in the town and we not knowing who he was decided wed go take a look. I loved it. The man was a crazy genius. Perfect for me.

Daydreamer

Oh no not again another music blog! I'm sorry to be writing again about music actually you know what I'm not because I love Adele  :)

Limerick presently is awful. It has been pissing rain all day and dark since half four. It's safe to say the weather is definitely affecting my mood. I'm finding it harder to get up in the mornings with the dreariness (is that even a word?) that faces me out the window. Although the rain and darkness is wrecking my head I just wrote my introduction for my empathy essay and am now feeling brightly optimistic again.

While writing I listened to Adele's Daydreamer. I am a sure daydreamer no doubt about it. I get lost in my own imagination and could quite happily stay there for hours until i must face reality again. Adele's album 19 is one of the best albums I own. Even though i liked her stuff when she first came out, in has been in the last year I really got into her. Seeing as her album was called 19 and i was 19 and as i could relate to so many of her lyrics I felt the album was wrote just for me :). Her lyrics amaze me.

A little part of me hopes I'll find my daydreamer sitting on my doorstep someday...

Love and Life

So I know it seems all I do is blog about random music but it really is such a big part of my life that i just can't help myself. Since i got in the door from college Ive had this song on repeat. Adele is one of my favourite artists ever. Her voice and lyrics are so beautiful and meaningful to me. Lyrics I think are so important in a song. Words convey a stronger message than any tune can. For me if i enjoy the lyrics i love the song no matter what type of music it is. Melt My Heart to Stone is definitely one of my favourite Adele songs if not one of my favourite songs ever. I get lost in the lyrics every time..

Speaking of hearts, We've just started studying Frankl in class who I must say i really like and am enjoying his theories. It's so nice to be studying things I'm actually interested in and care about. Its a long road to being a counsellor but I'm enjoying my travels so far. Frankl has said ''The salvation of man is through love and in love.'' which made me think of one of my life quotes “Ultimately love is everything.” as said by M. Scott Peck.

On the whole love heart and quotes subject Ive got one more that I've been thinking of the last few days. I came across this mans quote in Hereford Cathedral (strange right?). The quote on a poster that caught my eye was ''You are as prone to love as the sun is to shine'' which for some unknown reason stuck with me until i googled it. I found Thomas Traherne had said this. He was an English poet and religious writer who was educated in Hereford. I decide to read more on him and found another quote that has become one of my favourites ''Love is the true means by which the world is enjoyed: our love to others, and others love to us.''

God I hope I dont sound like a sap! For those who know me ye will know that couldn't be further from the truth! :). I just value the importance of love in our lives. Wether it be your love for music or for your dog or your best friends.

Is life without love really life at all?
