Diamonds and Feelings

This week I went to see the truly beautiful Marina and the Diamonds in the Savoy. It was a brilliant birthday present from fabulous friends! (Caoimhey and Tiney). I was so taken aback by her. Her beauty, her voice, her lyrics were just incredible. I feel when i listen to her lyrics they speak to me and i can completly relate to some of her astounding songs. Including the one ive posted below...

Another thing I've relived this week is how a song can remind you of a time, a place, a person, a feeling. This happens to me quite often as I normally obsess over a song during times in my life when i need an outlet. So many songs have this effect on me. For example I find it difficult to listen to ellie goulding anymore without a feeling of dread and tummy ulcers coming over me since i exhausted her album on my morning trips on the 223 to college of com last feb. When Marina played 'Obsessions' last thursday a knot in tummy returned and i could almost go back to the exact place i was in when i heard those lyrics for the first time. 'Obsessions' is definitly a song worth checking out.

On this note I have been non stop playing this old classic the last few days. Linkin Park i suppose are a favourite band of mine although Im no diehard fan I do love most of their music old and new. From being 13 to 20 I can still get lost in this song. If thats a good or bad thing im not quite sure yet but either way give it a listen. :)

Daily Song

I've decided for the next couple of days to try and blog a song that says how a feel or I cant stop singing or is one of my all time favourites etc you get the idea :)

Today it's The Scientist  by Coldplay. I've only recently heard the amazingness in this song and think its perfect for me.
